Michigan Campgrounds
Our campgrounds in
Michigan are located on the Great Lakes in the Upper
Peninsula on the Hiawatha National Forest. Campgrounds are
located on Lake Superior near Munising.
Bay Furnace Campground

Bay Furnace Campground and Picnic Area is located in
Alger County. It is 5 miles west of Munising on M-28 on the south
shore of Lake Superior, at Christmas. You can enjoy the scenic view
of Lake Superior with its spectacular sunrises, sunsets, and
occasional northern light displays.
This convenient location makes it a perfect site for
the traveler who would like to camp overnight. It is also a perfect
place to stay while enjoying the recreational opportunities
available in the Munising area. Among many others are the Pictured
Rocks National Lakeshore, Alger Underwater Preserve, the boat
cruises, Miner's Castle, and many delightful waterfalls.

AuTrain Lake Campground
|
|
AuTrain Lake Campground is located in Alger County,
about 10 miles west of Munising. At AuTrain, travel south on FR-HO3
for about four miles, then go one mile east on FR-2276, and then two
miles north on FR- 2596 to the Campground.
AuTrain Lake is the largest inland lake in the area.
It is an 830 acre lake with a maximum depth of 30 feet and an
average depth of 12 feet The large size of this lake provides miles
of prime water skiing, boating, swimming, and fishing. Canoeing is
also popular here on AuTrain Lake and the AuTrain River below the
lake.

Island Lake Campground

Island Lake Campground in Alger County is located
approximately 10 miles south of Munising on FH-13, then 2 miles west
on FR-2268, at the southwest end of lake.
Island Lake is a 32.5 acre lake where the family
camper can enjoy canoeing, fishing, hiking, and camping. Located
"off the beaten path," this area receives lighter visitor use than
some other campgrounds, so it may offer you more privacy and
serenity.

Widewaters Campground
|
|
Widewaters Campground is situated on the Indian Wild
and Scenic River, 13 miles south of Munising, on Highway H-13, then
1/2 mile NW on FR-2262.
You will find at Widewaters Campground the opportunity
to pursue whatever activities you desire whether it be canoeing,
fishing, hiking, or just camping in a peaceful, quiet environment.

Pete's Lake Campground
|
|
Pete's Lake Campground is located about 12 miles south
of Munising on FH-13. The campground entrance is approximately 1/3
mile east of FH-3 on FR-2173.
Surrounded by many lakes, this recreation area offers
much in the way of camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, boating, and
picnicking. All roads are black topped (perfect for bike riding).

Corner Lake
|

Corner Lake Campground is located about 2 miles east
of Forest Highway 13 on County Road 440. The campground is
approximately 20 miles from Munising, 45 miles from Manistique, and
36 miles from Rapid River.
Corner Lake is a 100 acre lake that offers camping,
fishing, boating, and an excellent swimming beach for young
children.

Lake Michigan Campground, Foley Creek Campground, Carp River
Campground
RRM no longer
is the operator of these campgrounds. The new operator does
