Colorado Marinas -- Blue Mesa Reservoir

Blue Mesa Reservoir is Colorado's largest body of water, and is the largest Kokanee Salmon fishery in the United States.   It is located in the Curecanti National Recreation Area, within the National Park Service.  Visit the information site for Elk Creek Marina and Blue Mesa Reservoir

Blue Mesa Lake, Elk Creek Marina, Colorado

Located 15 miles west of Gunnison, Colorado, Elk Creek Marina is a full-service marina for the fishermen and boaters on Blue Mesa Reservoir.  Services include daily and seasonal slip rentals, boat rentals, guided fishing expeditions, a boaters store and gift shop, a gas dock, and a boat repair facility.  Lake Fork Marina offers similar services on the west end of the lake, just a few miles east of Montrose.

Boat Rentals

Blue Mesa Boat Rentals Gunnison Colorado

No boat?  No problem!  Both the Lake Fork and Elk Creek Marinas offer a variety of boat rentals, including 16, 20, and 24-foot pontoon boats, 16-foot fiberglass runabouts powered by a 50HP engine, and 14 and 16-foot aluminum fishing boats.  We have over 40 boats at the two marinas for rental.  Full and half-day rental customers may call in advance for a reservation.

Slip Rentals

Blue Mesa Slip Rentals Curecanti Colorado

Lake Fork and Elk Creek Marinas have nearly 200 slips available for rental, including 16, 20, and 30 foot lengths.  Note that many of our slips are taken by seasonal customers and they go fast.  Call us for availability.

Opening / Closing
Elk Creek Marina opens May 1 through September 30 (weather permitting).  Lake Fork Marina opens by May 15 and usually closes around September 15.  Papp's Restaurant opens Mother's Day weekend and closes just after Labor Day
